Ensors is a family owned and run business that was established over 78 years ago. They started out as a small traditional butchers shop but quickly diversified and expanded over the years into new areas of enterprise within the red meat sector. The Ensors team has worked tirelessly to develop the business from its humble beginnings to one that is now at the forefront of its industry.
Today Ensors operates out of new, purpose built, state of the art premises. The site operates a multi-species abattoir, primal cutting plant and a further processing facility dedicated to producing meats and meat products that are of the highest quality.
This cold store construction project is an abattoir and meat processing facility including several Chill stores, freezers and multiple processing rooms for boning and packing etc. The wall panelling is sat on top of 400mm high concrete kerbs and this greatly helps prevent damage to the wall panels by pallet trucks & trollies etc. Hemsec panels were used throughout.
Most of the meat rail steelwork was installed prior to the panel installation which made some of our installation a bit more challenging. However, the works were completed within the given timescales.
All flashings, personnel and sliding doors supplied were made in ISD’s factory in Gloucester. Due to the processes that take place in this facility, most rooms are subject to frequent cleaning regimes. Radius trims were used in internal corners to make cleaning easier.
The ISD Coldstores Division is able to offer the widest variety of temperature-controlled hygienic environments to suit the client’s needs.
