Project Update | Integrated Management System for ISO certification

Published on 12th May, 2016

Following the excellent progress we’ve made so far, we have now just passed the halfway mark on our project to develop an Integrated Management System with a view to independent registration later this year. This new system will incorporate ISO.9001 Quality Assurance, ISO.14001 Environmental Management and OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety requirements into one unified management system that will enhance performance and efficiency.

Building on the foundations of what has been achieved so far, the actual ISO.9001 / 14001 / 18001 Assessment Process begins in earnest with BM Trada on 18th / 19th July at Gloucester. This will be followed 5 weeks later with 4 x 2-day visits in late August and early September, that will culminate on 19th / 20th September. These actual assessments will be a mix of evaluation of activities both at company sites in Gloucester, and active construction projects.

All staff will attend IMS / Enviro briefings delivered by Graham Pritchard in May / June – with Contract / Project Managers cascading the content to site staff and contractors.

As part of the IMS requirements, the IMS Core Team have identified a series of Key Objectives across the business, that specifically covers Quality, Safety and Environmental improvements. These will be communicated at the briefings and displayed on Company notice boards.

Progress against these Key Objectives will be reviewed regularly by the management team.

IMS Process Flowcharts and Procedures and associated documentation will be shortly view-able for ISD Solutions staff on the Global P drive / IMS…
