Newly Certified in Industrial Thermal Imaging

Published on 1st July, 2025

We’re proud to announce that Cold Store Project Manager, Marc Greenwood, has recently completed his Level 1 in Industrial Thermographic Imaging.

This achievement follows what was a thorough four days of training at the Infrared Training Centre, culminating in both written and practical exams on the Fundamentals of Infrared Imaging. The course brought together professionals from around the globe and across all manner of industries, from electric to oil rigs, each with critical inspection needs.

“It was challenge at first being heavily technically focused, but after a few days I started to make sense of it and enjoyed learning the potential with what you can do with thermal cameras.

“There are so many factors to consider that influence accurate temperature measurement, compensating for emissivity, reflected surfaces and many others” – Marc Greenwood

Our investment in FLIR thermal imaging cameras, coupled with Marc’s newly gained Level 1 qualification, positions us to better detect insulation issues such as leakage or ice build-up by applying the precise techniques learnt and interpreting images based on infrared science and heat transfer principles.

This capability will be put into good practice as part of our commitment to quality management through regular surveying of existing builds, providing more detailed reports and ensuring there’s no compromise to our cold store solutions for our clients.

We continually support the professional development of our team and look forward to seeing more of our staff undertaking this certification in the future.

We are experts in cold storage construction, firewalls, data-centres and single envelope cladding.
